FOOD TO FUEL

Real food for fueling your body and functional training for 30 days of fitness and weight loss.

Join me as I close in on the last part of my training for my first ultra run. For the next thirty days I will post what I eat and different exercises I do. The food posts will give you ideas on healthy meals that are fast and easy to make. The exercises will be functional exercises that will build strength and balance.

Your goal is to exercise for 30 minutes 5 days a week. Three days a week I recommend walking, hiking, walk/jog. This can be done by yourself, with a friend, with your dog or with your kids. Two days a week you are doing functional training exercises. The other two days are rest days. On these days you will want to focus on improving your way of eating. This is done by being in the kitchen for 30 minutes each day to either meal prep, pack snacks, or make a meal. Focusing on what you put into your body will help you to reach your goals. The goal of 30/30/30 is to get you moving and to start eating healthier.

The idea of the food part of 30/30/30 is to decrease the amount of processed food eaten and increase fresh real food. The meal ideas can always be modified to meet your needs. The exercise part of 30/30/30 is to get you moving through out the day. The exercises will improve your balance, build strength, tone your body and help increase weight loss.

As with any new workout or way of eating, please check with your doctor first. If your pets have been to the vet for a clean bill of health in the last 6 months and need to loose weight, please include them on your walks.

If you would like to make this a challenge between friends, let me know and their will be a prize!
